Masonry, Universal Order, are men of all races and nationalities, hosted by initiation and gathered in shops, in which, aided by symbols and allegories, study and work for the betterment of the Humane Society.

It is founded on Brotherly Love and hope that, with love for God, country, family and others with tolerance and wisdom, constant and free investigation of truth, with the evolution of human knowledge in philosophy, science and arts, in the Triad of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and within the Principles of Morals, Reason and Justice, the world reaches the general happiness and universal peace.

From this we can deduce the following statement:

* Freemasonry proclaims, since its origin, the existence of a Creative Principle, which, in respect of all religions, called the Great Architect of the Universe;
* Freemasonry does not impose limits on the investigation of truth, and to ensure that freedom requires greater tolerance of all;
* Freemasonry is accessible to people of all races, classes and beliefs, whether religious or political, except those which deprive man of freedom of conscience, of expression of thought, restrict the rights and dignity of the human person and demand unconditional submission;
* The Craft is composed of three universally recognized and adopted Degrees: Entered Apprentice, Fellow and Master;
* Masonry in addition to fighting ignorance in all its forms, constitutes a school, imposing the following program:
a) conform to the democratic laws of the country;
b) live by the dictates of honor;
c) practice justice;
d) love your neighbor;
e) work for the progress of man;

Freemasonry forbids discussion political parties and religious-sectarian in its Temples.

Along with this definition of Freemasonry, also proclaims the following principles:
- Love God, Fatherland, Family, and Humanity;
- Practicing beneficence, so discreet, without humiliating;
- Practice masonic solidarity in just causes, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood;
- Defending the rights and individual guarantees;
- Consider legal and decent work as a duty of man;
- Require members of his good moral character, civic, social and family, fighting for the improvement of customs;
- Require tolerance for all forms of manifestation of conscience, religion or philosophy, whose objectives are to gain the truth, morality, peace and social good;
- To foster the principle of equity, giving each one what is right, according to his ability, works and merits;
- Combating fanaticism, passions, vices and obscurantism.

The Masonic teachings guide their members to dedicate themselves to the happiness of their fellows, not only because reason and morality they impose such an obligation, but also because this feeling of solidarity makes them brothers.
